Looking Back – 9 Years

9 Years ago today I said “I do” to the man I love…

It was a beautiful sunny April afternoon.  It was a little chilly, but who cares about that when you’re in love? 😉

We laughed,

We cried

Okay, he cried 😉    They were happy tears though!

And we shared our very first kiss. 🙂

(Sorry, this picture isn’t of the first kiss…the photographer missed that one…ugh.  Oh well…)

We thought married life would be wonderfully easy…

We were wrong.

We thought we could never love each other more than we did on that day…

We were wrong.

Now, 9 years later Jonathan looks at me and says “We’ve come a long way in 9 years, huh?”

Absolutely.

We love each other more now than ever before.

It’s a love that’s sure and strong…a love that will remain forever.

It’s a love that comes from knowing each other completely…the good and the bad…

And choosing to love anyways.

It’s a love that comes from sharing the hard times as well as the good.

From rejoicing with each other over each new victory and supporting each other through the difficulties.

It’s a love that comes from taking the time to have fun with each other

And enjoying each other.

It’s a love that comes from having children

And knowing we’d better stick together because we’re outnumbered 2.5 to 1.  lol

It’s a love that comes from time well spent

Time with each other

And with God.

Learning,

Growing,

Loving,

Caring,

Supporting,

Believing,

Rejoicing,

Knowing.

I love you Honey!!  We’ve come a long way!!  I look forward to the next 9 years and beyond.

    • No, I didn’t make it. We actually found it at a thrift store and I fell in love with it as soon as I saw it! I just fixed some things on it, replaced some of the beading and things like that.
