Easy Crackers

This recipe is easy and SO good!  We like crackers but a lot of them have stuff in it that we don’t eat anymore.  This recipe is a great alternative!

Ingredients:

2 c flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
2/3 c warm water
1/3 c olive oil
Your choice of seasoning

Directions:

Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

In a medium size mixing bowl, combine all the ingredients.  Knead dough and then let set for 5-10 minutes.   Roll the dough out on a lightly floured surface.  (Depending on the size of your baking sheet you may need to divide the dough in half.)  You can also just press it out with your fingers to give it a more uneven look but I think that’s harder than just rolling it out.

Place dough on a lightly oiled baking sheet and top with whatever your choice of seasoning are. (or you can leave them plain)  We made a batch of plain and also a batch that was brushed with butter and then topped with Parmesan cheese, salt, pepper, garlic powder and paprika – yum!  Another idea is to brush them with melted butter and sprinkle with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper and parsley.

After you’re done putting the seasonings on the rolled out dough, cut it to the desired size using a pizza cutter.  Don’t worry that they are all still stuck together….they will separate as they cook.  I actually forgot to cut mine until they were about half way done cooking and they still came out fine.

Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until lightly browned and a little crispy.  The longer you cook them the crispier they are.

Enjoy!  These didn’t last long in my house! :-)

  1. I just made these crackers and let me just say – they rock! :) Seriously, they were so, so good and easy. We had them at lunch time with some slices of cheese and fruit. I am adding this to my recipe file. Thank you so much!
